What's In Your Makeup??
Do you know what is in your makeup?
Growing up in the 80's, I didn’t. And, to be honest, I didn’t really care either. It was simply a way for me to boost my self confidence & self esteem during those awkward teen age years. When, I started to pay attention to that tiny little list on the back of all my makeup I was using.
I was in for a rude awakening. I found words I couldn’t even pronounce, let alone know what they meant. It scared me, and I began my hunt for more natural based products. I found some, but wasn’t happy with what the products. They either didn't give me the results I needed or they were so over priced I couldn't afford them.
I went with the cheaper versions just so I could cover the sun damage I have. (Back when I was a teenager, there wasn’t the big scare of skin cancer like there is now.)
So recently in my search I came across a company called Younique. I really didn’t know much about them, but kept researching. The more I read, the more I liked the company. They use mineral based pigments, which means they are all natural. They don’t contain fillers that I can’t pronounce. Many of the products are gluten free. All are paraben free, toxin free, cruelty free, and hypoallergenic. I was getting warmed up to the idea of using them.
I read all the reviews on their makeup and decided to join as a presenter. The kit included all testers of their pigments, concealers, blushes plus their all natural 3D Lashes which had peaked my interest from the beginning, along with makeup brushes. The kit cost $99 which was a great deal considering the 3D Lashes (their biggest seller) are $29. I ordered it and fell in love at first use. The longer I use them, the more I love them. I have honestly never had so many compliments on my makeup, until the past few weeks. I was use to using more of the cheaper products that I had purchased in the stores and realizing I was spending $10 on a blush that it was full of filler (talc mostly which is linked to respiratory problems) and Younique's products don't contain filler so you are using less and you achieve better results.
